Wood County Board of Education appoints three new principals
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - The Wood County Board of Education has decided on three new principals for the upcoming school year. Jeff Hardman has been chosen for Emerson Elementary, Jason Potts has been chosen for Parkersburg High School, and Karla Carpenter will be the Assistant Principal for Franklin Elementary Curriculum and Instruction.

WVU Medicine Aspiring Nurse Program welcomes their third cohort
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Sixteen local nursing students were formally welcomed to the WVU Medicine Aspiring Nurse Program on Monday, July 29. The third cohort consists of students attending Washington State College of Ohio, West Virginia Junior College, and West Virginia University at Parkersburg, according to a news release.
