1 killed in West Side crash

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A 20-year-old man is dead after a crash early Saturday morning on Chicago's West Side.

It happened just before 4 a.m. That's when police say a 20 year old man driving a sedan was speeding northbound through the South Austin neighborhood on Cicero near I-290.

When he hit the back end of a flatbed truck that was carrying construction equipment, turning left, ambulances transported the man to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the truck had minor injuries and was treated at an area hospital.
