WESTON, W.Va. (WBOY) — A Kids Pop-Up market sprung up at the Lewis County Park on Friday for children and families associated with the Lewis-Upshur Parents as Teachers.

“It is important for kids to learn how to make healthy food options for themselves and see all of these vegetables and fruits out. It gives them an opportunity to look at it and pick out what they want to try. Sometimes kids don’t know what they want, and they don’t know what they like until they try it,” Lewis-Upshur Parents as Teachers Home Visitor Sara Robinson said.

Various other activities were also available for children like coloring sheets, playdough and information activities to show them the difference in healthy eating options.
