Marion County Animal Shelter temporarily closed due to parvovirus

MARION COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — The Marion County Animal Shelter is temporarily closed due to parvovirus.

The shelter made the announcement Monday on Facebook.

The virus lives in the ground and the shelter said rain the area brought the virus to the surface.

There will be no intakes of animals and the shelter is not open to the public.

The shelter will make an announcement when they are clear to re-open.
