    Charleston Police investigating Saturday night homicide at Palmilla Apartments

    CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston Police Department is investigating a homicide that took place late on Saturday, August 24 at the Palmilla Apartments on Ashley River Road.

    At 11:52 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area. When they arrived, residents informed them that someone had been shot nearby.

    Despite immediate medical attention at the scene, the victim was pronounced dead by Charleston County EMS.

    The victim’s identity has not yet been released, as the Charleston County Coroner’s Office will do so at a later time.

    Charleston Police Department said no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
