Community Spotlight: Kemmerer Village

ASSUMPTION, Ill. (WCIA) — Kemmer Village in Assumption supports over 1,400 children a year through programs such as foster care and various forms of therapy. Its campus includes a school, horse stables and the original orphanage built 110 years ago.

Kemmerer Village’s Autumn Warren and Brianna Horton came on WCIA 3 News at Noon to talk about their organization and an upcoming fundraising event it is hosting. The funds are going toward a project that’s been several years in the making, and the organization is closing in on their goal.
