Malik Turner signs with 49ers

(WCIA) — Former Illini and Springfield native Malik Turner is back in pro football for a second stint in San Francisco on a one-year deal.

The 28 year-old receiver last played for the 49ers in 2022. Turner spent 2023 with the Las Vegas Raiders and Houston Texans practice squads and last years training camp with the Indianapolis Colts.

Turner originally entered the NFL in 2018 after playing four seasons at Illinois.

Turner signed as an undrafted free agent with the Seattle Seahawks, later spending the 2021 and 2022 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys.
