    Urbana man accused of threatening woman with a shotgun

    URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — An Urbana man is under arrest after police said he threatened a woman with a shotgun last week.

    Officials with the Urbana Police Department posted about the incident on the department Facebook page . They said that on July 24, officers responded to Oakland Avenue off Cunningham Avenue for a report of a domestic disturbance. As they investigated, a woman reported being threatened by a man with a shotgun.

    Urbana traffic stop finds loaded gun & marijuana, driver arrested

    Officials said the man, age 49, was arrested and officers recovered the gun and ammunition.

    The offender was booked into the Champaign County Jail on charges of aggravated assault and possessing a gun as a felon.
