A woman appeared in court for the first time Tuesday after she allegedly hit a 15-year-old girl with a car in West Price Hill.

Alicia Diciero faces aggravated vehicular assault and vehicular assault charges.

According to Cincinnati police, the crash happened around 7:27 a.m. in the area of 4738 Glenway Avenue, near Carmania Avenue on Monday.

Police said the teen was waiting at a Metro bus stop when Diciero allegedly hit her in a 2009 Hyundai Elantra.

Diciero was heading west on Glenway when she allegedly drove onto a sidewalk and hit both the teen and a street sign, police said. Diciero was not hurt in the crash, police said.

Police said the teen was waiting at a metro bus stop when she was hit.

Prosecutors said a witness reported seeing Diciero, in her vehicle, asleep behind the wheel and impeding traffic. According to prosecutors, that witness honked the horn for her to drive forward, which woke her up.

In court, prosecutors said police found Diciero at the scene of the crash, where she told them someone had been trying to kill her. Police also reported they found crack cocaine near Diciero at the scene of the crash, prosecutors said.

The 15-year-old was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital with serious injuries.

The judge said Diciero is to have no contact with the victim. Her bond was set at $100,000.

She is set to appear in court again on Sept. 5.
