Police: 39-year-old Pedestrian struck, killed in Lawrenceburg

A pedestrian as struck and killed in Lawrenceburg Thursday night, according to the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

The pedestrian was struck at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Front Street at 10:23 p.m., the Lawrenceburg Police Department said.

Police said two pedestrians were headed north across US 50 at the Front Street intersection, as they approached the westbound lane, the pedestrian walking in front was struck by a driver headed westbound. That pedestrian is identified as 39-year-old Ashley Quicksall, of Lawrenceburg. She was pronounced dead on the scene, Lawrenceburg police said.

The driver, 50-year-old Cory Lyon remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said. Lyon was arrested and charges are expected to be filed by the Dearborn County Prosecutor's Office.
