    Plane diverted to Dayton International after flap issue

    DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A plane en-route to Missouri was forced to land at Dayton International Airport.

    According to GoJet Airlines, GoJet flight UA4427, operating as United Express, was headed from Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia to St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

    Toni Bankston, chief communications officer for the city of Dayton, reports the flight “landed without incident” at Dayton International Airport on Sept. 6 at 10:41 a.m., due to a flap issue. GoJet told 2 NEWS the decision to divert was made as a precautionary measure.

    Bankston told 2 NEWS that 49 passengers were onboard, and no injuries were reported.

    FlightAware reports passengers are expected to arrive in St. Louis just after 4 p.m. local time.
