    WARN notice out for Triple Canopy; Evansville impacted

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A notice has been sent out in relation to Triple Canopy, and Evansville is impacted.

    Officials explain the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) requires certain employers to give advance notification of a planned layoff or shutdown which results in a loss of work for more than six months, termination or a certain reduction of work hours. A letter was sent out to serve as notification that the current contract which Triple Canopy has with FPS-IN is due to expire on September 30.

    A spokesperson for WOTC and Rapid Response says all personnel working on the FPS-IN contract in Evansville are affected and will have their employment end on
    September 30. This separation from employment is expected to be permanent and
    employees will not have bumping rights to another position. Employees will be paid
    through the last date of employment in accordance with state law.

    Officials say the number of affected employees throughout the state of Indiana comes to a total of 123 people.
