No immediate structural concerns found during Twin Bridges inspection

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has given an update regarding the inspection of the southbound Twin Bridges.

Officials state KYTC officials identified age-related deterioration on a steel beam and moved to quickly address the issue.

Officials say inspectors confirmed the issue did not pose any immediate structural safety concerns and identified repairs needed to prevent further deterioration.

As previously reported, the recent inspection was extended to 8-5 on Thursday to allow for repairs. Officials say all repairs should conclude before the end of the day and should not result in any further alterations to scheduled inspections, which conclude Saturday.
