    Women’s Equality Day celebrated at Old National Events Plaza

    EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The 20th annual Women’s Equality Day luncheon was held today at the Old National Events Plaza.

    Women’s Equality Day commemorates the nineteenth amendment to the U.S. Constitution establishing the right for women to vote.

    The Evansville YWCA partnered with stepping up Evansville to hold the luncheon that celebrates the achievements of women and recognizes the fight for equal rights.

    In addition to the luncheon, volunteers helped register people to vote.
