Local business donates new unit to House of Bread and Peace after HVAC failure

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Schmitt Refrigeration has donated an HVAC unit to The House of Bread and Peace after it failed during one of the hottest days of the year.

Officials say Schmitt Refrigeration will be installing the unit on Friday.

The House of Bread and Peace took to social media to thank Schmitt Refrigeration and the community support during this time.

The organization says the money donated will still go directly to the inspection, maintenance and servicing of the entire HVAC system to get through the summer heat and prepare for the winter.

The House of Bread and Peace say it is imperative to maintain a stable environment for the women and children the organization serves.
