Cannon Falls City Council grants Dollar General conditional use permit, variances
Dollar General and its developer Acre Real Estate Holding returned to the Cannon Falls Planning Commission and City Council with a revised site plan ahead of and at the June 18 Cannon Falls City Council meeting. This was after the City Council delayed consideration of the conditional use permit and requested variances at its prior meeting at the end of May in order to better receive feedback from affected parties. Ultimately, the City Council approved the conditional use permit and two variances for the Dollar General development to continue.

Rochester Area Continued to Lead Minnesota For Job Growth in May
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The latest jobs data for southeastern Minnesota is a "mixed bag." Olmsted County continued to report the lowest unemployment rate in the region last month at 2%. According to the data from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, the rate was up a tenth of a percentage point from April but was a tenth of a point lower than the jobless rate from May of last year.
