ST. LOUIS — A man on Tuesday pleaded guilty to fatally shooting a man in 2022 after an argument on a MetroLink train. Quinton Howard, 24, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for involuntary manslaughter and five years for armed criminal action, with both sentences to run consecutively. He was originally charged with first-degree murder in the case.

Woman sentenced to 87 months for disposing of evidence in fatal shooting
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A woman was sentenced to 87 months in prison for disposing of evidence in a fatal shooting in August 2023. According to a release, on August 2, 2023, Nichole Birr, 31, was riding with a man who had a large quantity of drugs, on their way to a buyer who contacted her via Instagram. The buyer agreed to make a deal in the 3100 block of Brantner Place in St. Louis. Police say the man in Birr’s car, as well as the buyer, started to exchange gunfire. The man in her car, known in court documents as T.W., told police before he died that Birr and another man had fled in the car.
