Two dispatchers were working when a wave of calls came rushing in all at once. Two 911 Emergency Telephone Systems Board administration personnel assisted as well. The incoming calls lasted for hours, involving water rescues and fires from lightning.

Radio personality Tammie Holland dies after battle with cancer

(First Alert 4) - Longtime radio personality and podcast host Tammie Holland lost her battle with cancer this weekend at the age of 53. “Tammie was a kind, charming, and infectious presence who brought joy to countless listeners. Her signature laugh will be remembered forever. As a media veteran, she touched many lives through her work in radio, TV, acting, and podcasting. Our deepest condolences go out to Tammie’s loved ones. May she rest in peace and continue to inspire us all,” read a statement from Metro Broadcasting St. Louis where Holland served as co-host of the Real Breakfast Crew on Foxy 106.9.
