Report: Carriage Horse Dies in Cape May, First Fatality in Four Decades
A carriage horse company is mourning the loss of one of its horses Thursday night in Cape May. NJ Advance Media reports the horse named “Ice” died on a cool evening in the resort. The Cape May Carriage told NJ Advance Media “Ice” was the first fatality in 41 years of business and the loss was “sudden and unexpected”.

Cape May Deputy Fire Chief Michael Eck is expected to be appointed as the new emergency management coordinator in the city during a council meeting Tuesday. The resolution to appoint Eck appears on the Council agenda. Suspect Charged for False Boardwalk Complaint, No Gun Present
North Wildwood Police charged 29 year old Taylor Erickson of Bristol, PA for making a false complaint last weekend regarding the presence of a gun on the boardwalk. The complaint resulted in the evacuation of a local pier unnecessarily. Erickson was charged with second degree causing a false public alarm, and other offenses.
