Cape Henlopen School District Mourns Loss of Two Students in Vehicle Crash
The Cape Henlopen School District is mourning the loss of the sudden death of two of their students following a vehicle crash that occurred on Gills Neck Road in Lewes on the night of July 15th. According to Delaware State Police, the driver of a BMW had apparently been speeding before exiting the road at a curve. The car struck a wall, tree and metal fence and caught fire. The fire spread to a home causing extensive damage, but no one in the home was injured. The driver of the BMW and the passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

Four New Jersey beaches are under water quality advisories on Tuesday, July 16, for having high levels of bacteria that is frequently found in the intestines of humans and animals, according to the state Department of Environmental Protection. Atlantic City employs more than 300 local youth for Summer Work Program
The City of Atlantic City is working with Atlantic County and other area agencies for a Summer Work Program employing more than 300 local teenagers and young adults, ranging from ages 14 to early 20’s. Participants in the program are getting real world experience at Atlantic City’s Carnegie Building, as well as at 18 outside agencies throughout Atlantic City, including City Hall. Partnering with the City of Atlantic City the Atlantic County Office of Workforce Development, the NJ Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA), and National Action Network (NAN) Tech World, a partner of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino who has previously worked with the City of Atlantic City on youth programs.

Jawaun Yeoman, 27, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, July 16 to second-degree aggravated assault, second-degree possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, and first-degree unlawful possession of a handgun by a prior No Early Release Act felon.
