Another 81 New York workers will be laid off this Fall when a Hudson Valley manufacturing plant is officially acquired by another company and moves out of state. It's a news story that seems all too familiar in the Hudson Valley. Since February, hundreds of Hudson Valley factory workers have been laid off in a series of announcements about the mergers, closings or downsizing of businesses operating in New York State.

PARSIPPANY, NJ - The Parsippany Police have communicated details and logistics for Parsippany's 4th of July fireworks celebration that will be held at Parsippany Hills High School. Everyone in attendance will proceed through a Police checkpoint prior to entry. Intoxicated persons will be DENIED entry. All bags and containers are subject to inspection. The following are prohibited: glass containers alchoholic beverages pets personal fireworks drones Parking for People with Disabilities (Proper Placards Must Be Possessed) - Limited Parking at the Tennis Courts. Access can be gained via Glencove Road. Golf carts will be present to assist with transporting people needing assistance on the hill. Bergen County gas station attendant charged, accused of overcharging customers
A Park Ridge gas station attendant at Delta Gas was charged and accused of repeatedly overcharging customers, police said on Tuesday. Police alleged the unidentified attendant at the Kinderkamack Road Delta would manually charge more money when customers would use credit cards. When called out on the discrepancy by drivers, the attendant pretended it was a mistake and gave back the money, police said.
Jefferson Township: Route 15 South Temporary Bridge Update- June 30
JEFFERSON, NJ – Work is progressing on the temporary bridge on Route 15 South. According to Jefferson Township Mayor Eric Wilsusen, the temporary bridge structure has been completed as of June 28. The road decking is also being installed. The NJ DOT will be bringing the road surface up to meet the grade of the bridge deck this week. Franklin Independence Day Fireworks Celebration Set for Wednesday
SOMERSET, NJ - This year’s Independence Day Fireworks is scheduled to happen on July 3rd, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. As usual, the celebration will be taking place at the Franklin Township Municipal Complex. From 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, attendees can walk around and participate in various activities. Food and refreshments will be available at the 9 food trucks that will be stationed near the library. Warwick seeks state funding to revamp land use rules
The village of Warwick is seeking state funding to support its efforts to rewrite local zoning code. During the July 1 Warwick Village Board meeting, Mayor Michael Newhard shared that the village applied for the grant last year and was very close to receiving funding. He explained that the application is being resubmitted with more information, and he is hoping the village will be successful.
