More and more high school students are considering Palm Beach Atlantic University for their next four years of study.

According to Numerade, who analyzed the National Center of Education Statistics data, the West Palm Beach College came in third on the list of the colleges with the largest increase in college applications.

According to the report, PBA had 6,220 applicants for the 2022-2023 school year, an increase of 305.5% since 2019.

“I believe now more than ever, students value the importance of whole-person, Christ-first education,” says Dr. Debra A. Schwinn, president of PBA. “Not only have we increased our applicant pool since the pandemic, but we have welcomed the largest incoming class in PBA’s history two years in a row.”

In the fall of 2022, prospective firsttime undergraduate students sent more than 13 million applications to U.S. schools. According to NCES data, technical schools and private Christian colleges were among the top schools for post-COVID application growth.

To be included, colleges and universities had to receive at least 2,000 applications by the 2022-2023 school year and offer four-year degrees. The schools are ranked by the percentage increase in applications from the 2019- 2020 school year to the 2022-2023 school year, the latest data available according to the NECS.

PBA says their programs attract students from every region of the United States and worldwide. The international student population at PBA represents 83 nations, including India, Venezuela, Germany, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Palm Beach Atlantic University, founded in 1968, is a private Christian university with a 19-acre campus in West Palm Beach and an Orlando campus. The University offers 100 programs, including undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees.
