New Bedford man pronounced dead after being transported to Fall River hospital after Assonet crash
The name of the victim has been released concerning a fatal crash in Assonet. According to Lieutenant Benjamin Levesque, on Sunday at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Freetown Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call reporting a serious single-vehicle crash on Copicut Road near the intersection of Bell Rock Road in Assonet. Freetown Police and Fire were dispatched to the scene.
