"Community Table," By Portsmouth High School Students
Abigail Link, a Rhode Island College student teacher at Portsmouth High School, led her ceramics students in a project where they were asked to create their own ceramic figure representing their connection to the food system while reflecting on how their community interacts with this system. Inspired by a community engagement course where she had the opportunity to work with Rhode Island Food Policy Council and tour the Pell School Garden, Abigail was eager to bring her students into meaningful conversations about what is needed to build an equitable and resilient local food system.
