WESTPORT, Mass. (WPRI) — Westport’s Fire Department said in a social media post they put out a fire at a home on Sunday morning that began from two vehicles next to it.

According to the post, firefighters arrived at the scene around 5:40 a.m. after a call about a structure fire on Forge Road.

Once they got there, firefighters saw both vehicles on fire and the flames extending to the house’s exterior.

Dartmouth’s Fire Department assisted with the response.

The post also said firefighters extinguished those flames quickly and it was only contained to outside the home.

The house’s interior sustained minor damage.

Nobody in the house was injured and everyone got out safely.

A neighbor first saw the fire and notified those inside the home, who were asleep, according to the post.
