Salvation Army of Corning to host Benefit Barbecue to celebrate 140 years

CORNING, N.Y. ( WETM ) – The Salvation Army of Corning is hosting a benefit picnic this weekend to celebrate 140 years.

The Benefit Barbecue will take place on Sunday, Sept. 8, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Nasser Civic Center. The event will feature a variety of festivities for attendees to enjoy including food provided by Corning Catering, live music, kids activities, a silent auction and more.

Tickets to attend the picnic are $15 and can be purchased at The Salvation Army of Corning on 32 Denison Parkway East and Browns Cigar Store on Market Street. Tickets may also be purchased at the event.
