TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Wednesday’s heavy rainfall left several drivers stranded in water in Tampa.

Tampa Fire Rescue said they responded to multiple flood-related incidents and traffic collisions due to the weather.

Manatee County official says it is ‘impossible’ that Manatee Dam release flooded Lakewood Ranch homes

Some of the images show submerged and stalled-out vehicles, as well as a crashed car with significant damage.

Officials encourage drivers to remain vigilant of the conditions and always avoid flooded roads.
