BATON ROUGE, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) — The Pelican state will again be represented in the Tournament of Roses® Parade in Pasadena, California.

On Wednesday, the Louisiana Office of Tourism announced that the state will have a float in the New Year’s Day parade for the fourth year in a row.

According to the Louisiana Office of Tourism, the 2025 Louisiana Rose Parade® float features a Louisiana alligator adorned with beads, carrying on its back a Cajun dance hall and pots of boiled seafood. The parade theme for 2025 is “Best Day Ever!”

“In Louisiana, when we think of the ‘Best Day Ever’ we think of a Louisiana Saturday night,” said Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser. “Good music, good food, good friends, and a celebration. This float represents everything that makes every day in Louisiana the best day ever.”

The float will feature country artist and Louisiana State University junior Timothy Wayne performing “Louisiana Saturday Night.”

According to the Louisiana Office of Tourism, Wayne is touring with his uncle , Louisiana native Tim McGraw, and Carley Pearce on the Standing Room Only Tour.

The 136th Rose Parade, presented by Honda, will roll on January 1, 2025. Watch the parade on KTAL NBC 6.
