FNF Best Chevrolet Best Player of the Week: Northshore’s Ramon Williams

SLIDELL, La. — In last week’s scrimmage against Archbishop Hannan, Northshore junior running back Ramon Williams was best.

The Panthers eclipsed 290 yards rushing with five touchdowns.

Williams accounted for half of that with 145 yards and three scores.

“It was good. The scrimmage was good. I counted on my teammates and my teammates counted on me. One thing I know is if you count on your team, big plays happen, and that’s what happened,” said Northshore running back Ramon Williams.

Northshore’s offense is designed to get the ball in the hands of its playmakers and Ramon Williams is one of those big-play threats that head coach Bobby Sanders and company will lean on in 2024.

“He did a great job the other night against Hannan. Ran the ball hard, had good ball security. Great kid on and off the field. Does everything we ask him to do. We’re going to lean on him heavily this year. He got some playing time last year spelling Bryce Cherry who graduated and did a great job for us but Ramon got some valuable snaps last year. We’re counting on him. He’s been working hard all season. He’s prepared to carry the ball for us,” said Northshore head football coach Bobby Sanders.
