Mid-Rise Apartment Building Proposed for Blandtown

An Atlanta-based developer wants to bring a mid-rise apartment building to Atlanta’s Blandtown neighborhood.

Braden Fellman Group has filed a Special Administrative Permit for the boutique multifamily project at a 0.8-acre lot on Huff Road, Urbanize Atlanta reports .

The Westside apartment building would feature studio and one-bedroom units (just like at another Braden Fellman Group project, Revival Lofts ). Twenty percent of the 150 units would be reserved at rates of 80 percent AMI (Area Median Income). Proposed amenities include common area spaces on each floor, a fitness center and a lounge, according to the news outlet.

The vacant lot is across the street from The Mill at Westside apartments and adjacent to the Westside Modern furniture store. It’s also north of the Goat Farm Arts Center complex, an arts community undergoing redevelopment that includes apartments, retail space and studio space.

The building would be designed by Choate + Hertlein Architects , the Atlanta-based architecture team behind Ponce City Market.
