“The Newest Cast Member On The View” – The Internet Had All The Jokes About The Iowa State Fair’s Biggest Boar Ever

That’s a big ol’ boar.

The Iowa State Fair kicked off this week, and everybody went hog wild for one pig in particular. (I’m sorry, that was a terrible pun).

The Big Boar contest was held on the first day of the fair, and the winner was a big porker named Finnegan. And at a whopping 1,420 pounds, Finnegan set the record for the biggest boar in the fair’s history, 85 lbs more than the previous record set over a decade ago.

According to Finnegan’s owner Bryan Britt, he’s had his eye on the prize since he first met the hog:

“I picked him out at birth, thinking he had a big skeleton. You’ve gotta feed them right to get them to this size. It doesn’t happen overnight.”

And apparently the secret to getting a record-setting boar: Finnegan’s favorite snack, gummy bears.

Well the internet immediately fell in love with the oversized pig – and of course, had plenty of jokes:

Well, at least I hope they’re jokes. Gotta protect Finnegan…all 1,420 lbs of him.
