Man, everybody keeps talking sh*t about Caitlin Clark ...even Caitlin Clark. The WNBA rookie has been one of the most high-profile players the league has ever seen, and obviously being under a microscope like that has led to her fair share of criticism during her first season with the Indiana Fever. But nobody's as hard on Caitlin Clark as Caitlin Clark is on herself. During yesterday's game against the Atlanta Dream, the rookie phenom rolled her ankle and was seen laying on the court in pain. https://twitter.com/espn/status/1828221302689103997 Clark was eventually able to return to the game, and ended up scoring 19 points with 7 rebounds and 7 assists as the Fever cruised to an 84-79 victory. But after the game, Clark wasn't happy with how she looked when she rolled her ankle:
"Yeah, I saw the replay. I look really soft. It wasn't that bad of a turn but it hurt. So sometimes you just need to give yourself a second." Her answer cracked up teammate Kelsey Mitchell, and fans who were anxiously holding their breath when she went down were thankful that it wasn't more serious than it was - and that she was able to joke about it afterwards. https://twitter.com/chloepeterson67/status/1828252420872294805 Tough as nails.
