Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Landman’ Releases Action-Packed Trailer Starring Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm & More

Come on with it. As Taylor Sheridan fans gear up for the series finale (well, maybe not?) of Yellowstone coming this November, and well as the second season of 1923 which should be around the corner as well, Taylor Sheridan's new series Landman will also make its premiere this fall. And the first official trailer is HERE. Starring Billy Bob Thornton, the show is described as: "Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, LANDMAN is a modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs. Based on the notable 11-part podcast “Boomtown” from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly, the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics." The new trailer kicks off with an ominous line from Billy Bob Thornton about the oil and gas industry: “The oil and gas industry makes $3 billion a day in pure profit... and it’s only getting bigger. But before any of that money is made, you've got to secure the land and then manage the people, that's my job. The first part is pretty simple, it's the second part that can get you killed." And then, a suit-wearing, big wig comes in... Jon Hamm... channeling the same kind of power he brought to his Mad Men character Don Draper: "The world has already convinced itself that you are evil and I am evil for providing them the one thing they interact with every day." I'm here for it. In addition to Oscar-winner Billy Bob Thornton, as well as Jon Hamm, and Demi Moore, Landman will star Ali Larter, 19 23's Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, Kayla Wallace, Taylor Sheridan mainstay James Jordan, Mark Collie, and Paulina Chávez. Andy Garcia and Michael Peña will also feature in guest roles. Thornton will take on the lead role as Tommy Harris, a crisis manager for an oil company, while the always incredible Jon Hamm will play Monty Miller, a powerful Texas oil industry vet who goes way back, both personally and professionally, with Tommy Norris. Demi Moore will play Cami, the wife of another powerful oil baron in Texas and a friend of Norris.
