Who says the A-Team isn't out covering Friday night college football between two traditional academic powerhouses? I say that because whomever the videographer was who captured the rabbit that crashed the Northwestern-Duke football game crafted a piece of pure cinema for all of us to enjoy. https://twitter.com/awfulannouncing/status/1832257736517808319 The expert close-up shots of the innocent bunny are absolutely exceptional. No notes from me. Everyone stopped to behold the little feral creature, who actually held its own well considering the massive crowd watching. Not to mention all the people on the Internet. Imagine that. Rabbits can't even conceive of what the Internet is. That is so far beyond their capabilities. Makes you wonder if we humans are proportionately unintelligent compared to some other greater technological or divine force out there in the universe. OK not to get too weird or existential or whatever. The Wildcats mascot added to the fun by threatening to chase the rabbit, and of course us mere humans have no chance to chase one of those speedsters down unless we're elite athletes. Even then it's damn near impossible unless you're in an enclosed area or something. I'm so tired at this point in the night, y'all. What am I even saying? This is a fun cute story about a fun cute animal. Also Duke forced and recovered a fumble on the ensuing play, so I guess this is the opposite of seeing a black cat. Maybe if you spot a bunny at a football game, it means you're about to get a takeaway on defense. Or some such good fortune will come your way depending on your rabbit karma. Or do you look at it as the rabbit's revenge on the Wildcat mascot, by making Northwestern fumble? That seems like the more compelling angle to be honest. I don't know. Do what you will with this! From my rapid-fire research, rabbits can run up to 25 or 30 mph. Ain't no mascot catching one. Or any Duke or Northwestern player. https://twitter.com/PressboxAD/status/1832256323007692980 https://twitter.com/dwreckZ71/status/1832255239648407880
