‘Heartbroken': Governor, coaches, loved ones react to loss of 3 Wise High School football stars in tragic crash
Early Saturday morning, a tragic crash in Upper Marlboro, Maryland took the lives of three teammates and graduates at Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School. Anthony "A.J." Lytton, Isaiah Hazel and Khyree Jackson were together in a maroon Dodge Charger that went off the road during a three-car crash early Saturday morning.

University of the District of Columbia Appoints Four Women to Key Administrative Positions
Has been named vice president for government, community, and corporate relations. Her new appointment marks a return to the University of the District of Columbia, where she previously served as executive director for state and local affairs. Most recently, she served as deputy general counsel for general practice with the D.C. Public Schools.
LHS Students Recognized for Accomplishments

Lakeland High School’s representatives who graduate this year are Sohum Agarwal, Robert Mansfield, and Maeve Dineen-Herzog. Agarwal will be attending the University of Indiana in the fall and will major in finance. Mansfield is a nursing major and will study at the University of Tampa. Upcoming concert will help raise funds for Alexandria music school scholarships
An upcoming rock concert in Del Ray later this month will help raise funding for scholarships and other assistance to help young students attend a local music school. The Rock Del Ray concert on Sunday, July 28, will benefit the nonprofit Friends of ROAM, which provides need-based scholarships to Rock of Ages Music, a music school at 114 E. Del Ray Avenue.
