This weekend, winds will start to swing back out of the south for a miniature warming trend as afternoon temperatures will climb back up into the mid to upper 90s.

Another cold front is expected to move through the region late on Sunday and during the early morning hours on Monday pulling those afternoon temperatures back down to start off the workweek.

Next week, afternoon highs will stay in the upper 80s and 90s with isolated afternoon storm chances.

Hurricane Beryl weakens to Category 2, may hit Texas by end of weekend

Attention will also be focused on the tropics and Hurricane Beryl as it will move into the Gulf of Mexico. Beryl could make landfall in south Texas early next week and continue moving north bringing increased cloud coverage and rain chances to parts of Texas.
