Wichita Falls and North Texas will have plenty of chances for rain in the week ahead.

The National Weather Service predicted storms could start Friday and after a break on Saturday continue through Thursday.

Odds on precipitation are low on most days, but the weather shift will mean a little break from 100-plus degree days.

Daytime highs are predicted to be in the upper 80s or low 90s through much of the week.

Wichita Falls has recorded 22.22 inches of rain so far this year compared to normal rainfall of 14.65 inches by this date last year.
