WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — In a little more than a month, the streets of Wichita Falls will be filled with cyclists from all over the country for the annual Hotter’N Hell Hundred. According to current registration numbers, they’re on the right track to have an expected 10,000 participants.

With so many cyclists hitting the streets, organizers are aware that bike availability could be an issue.

For the second year, Hotter’ N Hell is partnering with Unlimited Biking to supply bike rentals for the events. Hotter’N Hell executive director Chip Filer says they have plenty of options at a great price.

Riders can reserve rental bikes online . Each rental includes pickup-and-dropoff service at the start and finish lines and a free helmet. Riders can customize the bike rental with seat and pedal adjustments, provided they bring their preferred set of pedals.

“They will have the bike ready for you on Friday afternoon at the exhibit hall. You can pick it up, take it out, get used to it Friday night, and then come back and ride Saturday morning,” Filer explained.

In anticipation of this event-packed weekend, road crews have already started inspecting and patching up the roads for the courses, ensuring a smooth ride for all racers. Hotter ‘N Hell remains a cornerstone for Wichita Falls, and it’s no secret that the community really supports this event.

In fact, it even offers unique lodging options, like host homes.

“We have a number of people that come to town and stay with host families. And it’s not like an Airbnb. Instead, they are actually your host,” Filer said. “We have people that come back to the same host year after year, and we’ve got probably 2,000 or 3,000 people that stay in host homes every year.”

With newly added bike rentals, many housing options, and a simplified registration process, this year’s Hotter ‘N Hell looks to be on the right course for an exhilarating weekend.
