WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — Throughout human history, one way people have shown support for important causes is through art. In this case, it was the timeless T-shirt offered to a girl who has been fighting brain cancer since July 11th.

In the process of making t-shirts and other apparel for Wichita Falls’ two new high schools, a new mission hit BroCro Creative . A girl from Wichita Falls, Kylie Mills, was diagnosed with brain cancer and is going through treatment 1,000 miles away in Ohio. Chad Crowley, owner of BroCro, decided something had to be done to help the Mills family.

“My daughter and Kylie played on soccer together for years when they were little, when they were just little kids out running around chasing a ball,” Crowley said. “And for me as a dad, to see another young lady go through this, I can’t imagine being a dad and having to go through that and getting that type of news.”

Crowley decided that custom t-shirts would be the best way to help the Mills family during their time of need. All proceeds from the t-shirt benefit will help the family with travel expenses, food, and other bills. For Crowley, this fight is all about paying it forward to a fellow Wichita Falls family.

“I know if I was in the same situation, people in this town would surround me and do the same thing for me. And that’s what we want to do,” Crowley said. “We want to be just part of this community and part of this, you know, to help this family out.”

Kylie will be in Ohio undergoing her second round of radiation therapy and other clinical trials. For Crowley, it is a privilege to be able to support Kylie and the Mills.

“For us, it’s just an awesome thing to be a part of this, to support this family and to come around them and support them as best we can,” Crowley said.

The saying across the front of the shirt says, “Faith over Fear,” a message Kylie continues to exemplify through her fight far from home.
