Man injured by boat propeller at Milford Lake life-flighted to Wichita hospital

GEARY COUNTY ( KSNT ) – A man was left seriously injured Wednesday after being hit by a boat’s propeller in the water of Milford Lake.

Geary County Emergency Management posted to social media of the incident which occurred around noon on June 26 at East Rolling Hills at Milford Lake. Bystanders at the scene helped a man after he was hit by a boat propeller before first responders arrived and took over.

The man was flown via Lifestar Air Ambulance to a Wichita hospital for more treatment. Agencies which responded to the situation included Junction City Fire/EMS, Geary County Emergency Management, Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP), Geary County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Corps of Engineers. The KDWP is investigating the incident.
