    Car collides with a semi carrying cattle in Newton

    WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Newton Fire/EMS and the Kansas Highway Patrol responded to a collision involving a car and a cattle truck early Wednesday.

    It happened on northbound Interstate 135 and First Street around 4:30. Newton Fire/EMS said a car collided with a stalled semi.

    Newton Fire/EMS says a person declined hospital transport, and the cattle appeared unharmed.

    Traffic on I-135 was temporarily diverted with off/on ramps nearby.
