    Man accused of carjacking victim at gunpoint in Winchester

    WINCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) — Winchester police say a local man accused of carjacking a woman’s vehicle from her early Saturday morning is facing more than a dozen charges.

    48-year-old Scott Blass’ variety of charges include first-degree robbery, second-degree strangulation, robbery involving an occupied motor vehicle, and criminal use of a firearm.

    Woman killed in shooting following dispute in Meriden

    Blass is accused of using a gun to steal the car a woman was driving in on Elm Street Saturday morning around 3:30 a.m.

    The vehicle was later recovered, according to police.

    Blass was held on a $1,500,000 bond and appeared at the superior court in Torrington on Monday.
