    Fireworks and more to highlight Lights Over Lykins 4th of July Celebration

    With Independence Day upon us, the Lights Over Lykins 4th of July Celebration is upon us once again.

    The event – which is free and open to the public – will occur on Wednesday, July 3, at Lykins Park at 1601 Mt. Sterling Road.

    Included will be ride-on stuffed animals, a foam fest, dinosaur costume, magic show, bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, & more!

    For the foam fest, be sure to bring a towel.

    Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with activities starting at 6:00 p.m.

    Individuals will be able to meet members of the 501st Legion.

    A number of local food and drink vendors will be present, as well as DJ’s Lynn and Cody Toler beginning at 7:00 p.m.

    Singer Hannah Mae Rector will also be present.

    Fireworks start at 10:00 p.m.

    $1,000+ sponsors include Stang Plumbing, Tacos Lunas y Mas, Kentucky American Water, Washington Penn, Sterling Health Care, and Bypass Rental.
