Windham, Conn./WTIC Radio - A man accused of making threats outside a grocery store in Windham Sunday is facing charges.

State police say Alexander Clemmons, 31, is charged.

Investigators say the Canterbury resident allegedly pulled a knife on the store manager and customers just after 6:00 p.m. outside the store on Route 32.

Clemmons was apparently involved in some type of verbal spat with a customer outside.

Several witnesses attempted to intervene, said police, with Clemmons arguing with them as well before he pulled the knife and a can of pepper spray.

Troopers say as Clemmons got into the vehicle of a female companion, he approached the manager again after he was told he'd wouldn't be allowed to return.

Clemmons now faces a host of charges including breach of peace and reckless endangerment.

    Bond was set at $20,000.
