Wild West at the Library
The Cameron Library held a Wild West Days of Cameron on June 26th, presented by Connie Lintner, a historic researcher and Cameron Historical Society member. The wild west days consisted of Cameron in the “Wild West Days” around the late 1800s, and early 1920s at the latest. Cameron was a small town like it is now, but always considered packed down, what is called Third Street and Fourth Street, today. Most rode horses to town, placing them in the livery stables where they “parked their horses,” until trains became available in 1889, according to Lintner.
