MCINTOSH NAMED WINSTON INTERIM CITY MANAGER
The Winston City Council recently named Thomas McIntosh as interim city manager. City Recorder Cindy Sarti said McIntosh has been working as the city’s community development director for the past two years. Sarti said he was also working closely with City Manager Mark Bower during that time. His new agreement with the city states that the term of the interim role can be terminated by either party, or until the council deems that McIntosh become the permanent manager.

ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED PRIOR MENACING INCIDENT
Roseburg Police jailed a man Tuesday for an alleged prior menacing incident. An RPD report said officers contacted a victim at his residence in the 1300 block of Southeast Court Avenue on June 24th. The victim claimed that the 62-year-old suspect chased him out of the house with a kitchen knife while lunging the knife at him. The victim said he later held his bathroom door shut while the suspect stabbed the knife through the door at him. The victim told officers he thought the suspect was going to kill him.

ROSEBURG CITY COUNCIL NOT MEETING MONDAY, TOUR AT UCC INSTEAD
Roseburg City Council will not meet on Monday night. A city release said in lieu of that meeting, members of the council will take a tour at Umpqua Community College that evening beginning at 5:00 p.m. Although a quorum of the city council may be present, there will be no deliberation on city matters and no formal action will be taken.
