WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A person has been charged after an argument led to a shooting in Winston-Salem.

According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, an arrest has been made in connection to a shooting that happened on Sunday afternoon on Indiana Avenue.

Man killed in fiery Interstate 85 crash in Guilford County

On Wednesday, police announced they had arrested and charged Jalean Jamal Hoskins, 30, of Winston-Salem, with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury after the suspect vehicle was located and a search warrant was completed.

Police say this shooting, where one man was injured, stemmed from an argument between drivers. They found the victim in a parking lot of Indiana Avenue and he was treated on the scene by Forsyth County EMS.

The victim told investigators that he was in his vehicle when he got into an argument with another driver in a small white SUV. The other driver reportedly shot him and then left the scene. The victim told police at the time that he didn’t know Hoskins.

    Hoskins received no bond.
