Hingham Public Schools participatesin the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program. As part of this program, Hingham Public Schools offers healthy meals every school day. The Commonwealth is supplementing National School Lunch Program funds to ensure all students have access to healthy school meals in Massachusetts, regardless of household income. We ask that families complete a Meal Benefit Application as this provides data for school funding and community resources. The results from each Meal Benefit Application are used to ensure sustainability for this program.

A Giant Problem at the MHS
The holdings of the MHS often tell the authentic stories of real figures such as Revolutionary heroes, 18th century women laborers, and helmet-wearing air raid survivors. A smaller group of materials deal with more mysterious subjects, like strange voices calling from the waters of Boston in 1634. In these cases, it can be difficult to know what really happened, what was misunderstood, and what was invented. A recent question of these less tangible materials has forced the staff to admit: The MHS has a giant problem.

Boston College files to build new archive for Catholic religious objects
Boston College has filed plans with the Boston Planning Department to build a three-story, roughly 45,000-square-foot building to store collections of religious stuff "as well as limited artwork and cultural artifacts" on a hillside between its Theology and Ministry Library and its St. John's Seminary property off Lake Street in Brighton.

Scholarships were presented by MBA Executive Director Jordan Walton and the MBA’s Immediate Past Chair, Beasley Media Group Boston VP/Market Manager Mary Menna. Ramiro, morning host at “Hot 96.9” WBQT, and “98.5 The Hub” WBZ-FM morning duo Fred Toucher and Rob “Hardy” Poole spoke to the winners about their paths into broadcasting. “Beasley Media is proud to have participated in the MBA Student Broadcaster Scholarship for many years,” Menna said in a release. “It’s a worthwhile investment in supporting the next generation of radio and television employees.” Recipients include Samantha Brennan (University of Massachusetts Amherst); Olivia dePunte (Aristotle University); Antonio Goncalves (Arizona State University); Logan Healy (Massachusetts College of Art and Design); Kelli Konieczny (Merrimack College); Joseph Motroni (Merrimack College); Johann Viera (Arizona State University).
