The town basketball courts on Walden Street could be a viable location for a new fire station. At Tuesday night’s town council meeting, Town Manager Tony Marino said the site of the courts is large enough to accommodate a proposed fire station, but that there could be some issues with parking.

Free Roller Skating Rink Open All Summer Long In Cambridge
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A free, outdoor pop-up roller skating rink is open for the summer in Cambridge's Kendall Square. Rollerama at Kendall Common was put together by MIT's real estate group, and it's part of an initiative to bring the community to the newly-acquired space on the corner of Broadway and Third Street.

Broad Channel resident Mike Sirota last weekend was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the third round of Major League Baseball’s 2024 Draft. Burbank Ice Arena officials open to senior center, recreation projects
READING – Whether it’s pickleball courts or a new senior center, Burbank Arena’s Board of Directors won’t stand in the way. Just don’t mess with their parking. Tuesday night the Select Board discussed the town’s lease with the Reading Ice Arena Authority. With all the talk of potentially putting something on the Symonds Way land surrounding the arena, it was a feeling out session for the board. Cross Country Reveals 2024 Schedule

In response to the Boston Globe’s continuing coverage on pending legislation that would open the door for a waterfront stadium proposal, I urge the focus to stay on the urgent economic and environmental needs of Everett (“Krafts move closer to their goooooooal,” Business, July 17). The need for this bill has been no secret and has been reported on widely. I welcome the opportunity for all interested parties to be presented with an official proposal regarding a new soccer stadium if and when the legislation is passed.
