AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta recently announced the official naming of the ‘Brad Kyzer Sports Complex’ at the E.W. Hagler Club in Downtown Augusta.

In a ceremony on Aug. 9, the club honored a long-time supporter of the organization, Brad Kyzer, by naming the Sports Complex after him.

“Brad Kyzer is the epitome of a community leader and friend,” said Kim Evans, President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta. “He has diligently served Boys & Girls Clubs for decades, and we are thankful for his guidance, dedication and friendship. We hope that the naming of the Brad Kyzer Sports Complex will remind our Club kids to be like Brad: kind, loyal, generous, encouraging, and to always do their best in everything they try.”

Kyzer started his involvement with the Boys & Girls Club when his son began playing basketball there. He served on the Executive Board of Directors over three decades, while serving as mentor to youth in the area. Kyzer was inducted into the Boys & Girls Club of Georgia Hall of Fame in 2017.

The Brad Kyzer Sports Complex, which was completed in 2023, features multi-use playing fields, chipping and putting golf facilities, a pickleball court, community gardens and a walking track.
